Sort the army with one pivot at a time. Swap the weaker ones left, then lock the pivot in.

How to beat it
The last monster in a group wears the crown: it's the pivot. Walk the group: anyone weaker swaps to the left of the wall, anyone stronger stays. Drop the pivot on the wall and it's in its final spot. Then do the same to each side.
Now the real boss
