Monotonic stack
The Heat Wave
How long until a warmer day? Pop or push, one day at a time.
Loading the fight…
How to beat it
Walk forward and keep a stack of days still waiting for a warmer one. Is today warmer than the day on top? Its wait is over: pop it and write today minus that day. Keep popping while today is warmer, then push today. Days still on the stack at the end never got warmer: 0.
Now the real boss
Interviews ask for the code. Watch it run, then write it yourself, tested in Python, C++ or Java.
